Homework Policy in Room 14
Generally, homework is assigned Monday-Thursday night. Any classwork not completed during the day will be assigned as homework as well. Even though homework is required to be turned in daily, late homework is accepted if the child is sick or the homework is accompanied by a note from his/her parent. Homework consists of a few components:
1. Read 20 minutes, record on reading log. Reading log is due on Friday with a parent signature.
2. Math Practice (from workbook or math text)
3. Spelling-- due weekly (attached to reading log and due Friday)
4. Grammar--due weekly (attached to reading log and due Friday)
5. Reading Comprehension Practice (attached to reading log and due Friday)
6. Parent Signature on Homework Planner due every Friday.
7. Spend quality time with family. :-)
Please keep in mind that any other special projects which require work to be done at home may be assigned over the weekend.
